Been Busy!

Well I have been busy so haven’t blogged for a while. I hear a few of you think I might have slipped out of the zone …………….well I haven’t! Was tempted today by birthday cake. I popped a few bits into my mouth as I served it! I counted a point but found it even harder to resist more. So, have learnt another lesson.
Weigh day tomorrow. I am feeling negative. If I don’t lose I shall need all your help! Please.

Effing Spaghetti!

I have been eating tins of spaghetti and not realizing that they are double the points I thought they were. I now feel as fat as a pig!

Gimme Sugar!

Today was a day off so I babysat in the morning and gardened in the afternoon. I’ve had a lovely time but had to fight a sweet craving, hence the 2 cereal bars and hot chocolates. I wonder how I would have fared if I’d had a fridge full of cream cakes. Not well methinks.

Yes! Still Shrinking.

Losing It thinks that headaches could be due to dehydration. I think (it almost chokes me to say) that she could be correct. For example today I have had I tea, 3 coffees, 1 cup-a-soup and a large glass of wine! Not nearly enough. So, loads more water from now on. I shall list the number of glasses I have each day so that I keep it up.
Ohh…………2LBS OFF! Yipee! If I keep this up I’ll reach my goal by August 2009!

No Challenges Today!

I don’t have much time for lunch at work so when I get home at 5.15ish I am starving. That is when I have some Snack-a-Jacks or sandwiches. After these I don’t really want dinner. In a perfect world I would have dinner at 5:30. Peter would have a hairy canary if I suggested such a thing. Any ideas anyone?
I know I haven’t had enough points today but have a blazing headache and am not hungry. Several people in the family have been ill. Lord I hope I don’t get anything…..how can I go sick after one week?
I have bought weight watcher’s bread. Didn’t realise it was only ½ a point. Brilliant. Has 'Losing It' kept this to herself I wonder? Naa, she's been helpful personified!

Boring Today!

Boring day today so shall go straight to food. Oh! One thing though, my smarty pants/clever cloggs cousin Judy (Loosing It)told me off for not eating enough and now I see she has undercut me in a huge effort to outdo me ……..again!

Sausage Rolls and Doughnuts!

My new job involves a lot of standing but not a lot of running about so I’m worried that I won’t lose 2lbs a week. I am knackered when I get home so then sit a lot! If it was lighter I would walk the dogs. Perhaps I’ll take them out for a massive walkies on Sunday. I tried to walk faster than normal to work today but it caused a hot flush so when I arrived my curls had dropped out and my make-up had slipped off!
I know I’m eating too much processed food just now but I hope to change that when I get into my stride. At least I’m resisting the lunch time call from the rest of the (skinny!) staff for Gregg’s sausage rolls and doughnuts.

Back Again

Too busy to blog yesterday! I went to Harvey Nichols and had a cream tea and a glass of champagne! That left me 3 points for dinner so I had a banana on toast. I feel pleased that I slipped but fixed it at once.

1 Stone Lighter. Welcome Clarebear xxx.

2lbs off. Yesssssssssss! That is now a stone away, hopefully never to return.
I feel so pleased. Some of my clothes are feeling looser and I even got into a pair of trousers today that I haven’t worn for ages. It is such a great feeling.

Went on Holiday but Still OK!

My trip ‘down south’ went well and I stuck to my points but I did have a few drinks. I was able to say no after one or two though, which I haven’t been able to do before. So, I don’t think I’m a raving alcoholic after all.
I start a new job tomorrow so might comfort eat! I shall take lunch with me (better not have a pub lunch the first day).

12lbs off! And Welcome Claire. xxx.

2 ½ lbs off which means if I loose 2lbs next week I will have lost a stone! FANTASTIC!
I’m off to Dorset tomorrow for a few days so won’t blog again till Sunday. Well I might if I get on my sister Gill’s pc.
I can’t go down to the coast and not have fish and chips so shall treat myself. Fingers crossed I can keep to 20 points………….wish me luck. I will not lie to you!

Welcome Annie.xxx

Well the train went well. I had a 1st class ticket (cheap to over 55s) and they hand out free beverages, muffins and shortbread. I had a black coffee and a small banana! There and back, how good am I? In Aberdeen I had a chicken sandwich for lunch, I checked the points when I got home and they amounted to 5 ½ so pissed off. Consoled myself with a large glass of wine and some Chinese noodles.
Today is good. I did drink 2 glasses of wine with my lunch but stopped there. Amazing!
Daughter Annie thinks I am eating too much processed food and should substitute the snack-a-jacks for veg or fruit. But I love my Snack-a-Jacks.

Thank-you for the Comment Judy

One comment came flooding in. It said that I should blog every day to keep the momentum going. Seeing as I only had one comment, and that said keep going, I can say 100% of my commentators wish me to carry on!
I know I haven’t had enough points today but I am off to Aberdeen tomorrow and will be spending several hours on a train. As the buffet trolley rattles past me, the hot choc, maltesers and sometimes even a G&T jump onto my table. I can’t bear waste so it all then jumps straight down my throat!
I shall equip myself with tangerines, bananas and low cal hot choc. I wonder what they will charge me for a cup of hot water………….

Bloody Jeans


Well! This morning I though I would risk trying on a pair jeans that I hadn’t worn for a while as they were a little too snug. They slid, on and the zip slid, up and the top snap did up with ease. I was so excited that I skipped down to my porridge feeling well chuffed. I glanced (admiringly) in the big hall mirror as I passed and what did I see? A six inch blinking rip at the side of a back pocket……………I had burst them. Oh well, that’s life I suppose.
I’m wondering if this is all a bit much. Should I write this blog only on weigh day? Don’t all comment at once. Will you?

Pizza, pizza, pizza, pizza!

Last night I went to Sarah’s to watch a DVD and she had a pizza! I didn’t have any but thought about it all night and today. Whilst shopping for veg and low fat food I spotted the pizza section. After gawping, touching and smelling one I popped it into my trolley. Arrrgh!
When I got home I calmed down and checked out the points. Only 13…..f---! I counted my points so far and if I had no Snack-a-Jacks I could have it. God it was good.
Now the craving has gone and I’m looking forward to a nice healthy day tomorrow.

On and off, on and off...and without clothes!

Well, I leapt on the scales again this morning and have lost a bit more, however, I tried in different rooms, on and off carpets and it was different each time! I have now put the scales back in the original spot and shall wait until next Monday before I have another go. At one time I had gained 6lbs. mind you I wasn’t wearing my specs so couldn’t see the decimal point.
I sucked in my tummy and think I saw a little p---.! OK! Kids……yes I do have them just haven’t seen them for a while (shaping and trimming by touch only).
Now I’ve done it….the phone will be ringing off the hook with mortified off-spring!

Disappointing

Lost 2 ½ lbs this week. A bit disappointing as I thought the first 2 weeks were big losses. Still, I plan on 1 ½ to 2lbs per week from now on. Don’t forget I had booze at the weekend and didn’t walk the dogs as much. I’m going to weigh myself tomorrow….just in case. I feel great though, and am sure my cloths are looser.
I nearly got my bike out today, and then thought again, a bit too rash methinks! (I also couldn’t get the bloody tyres pumped up and so the moment passed)

Nearly, But Not Quite!

That is the weekend just about over and I am ok!!
Today was the hardest. The devil, (in the disguise of food and drink) tempted me several times and I felt myself slip but didn’t! Yeah!
First of all I had to chum a locksmith to a neighbour just as I was about to tuck into breakfast- x 2 marmite toast(no butter) I crammed half a slice in and rushed out. I came home at 12:30 and rushed about preparing the Sunday lunch…..I was hungry and had a pack of butterscotch Snack-a-Jacks……….then another one……….then went hunting for food but stopped myself just in time.
The second challenge came when everyone had gone, I was clearing up (fuelled with 3 glasses of champagne) when Peter cracked open a delicious bottle of red! I was soooo close but didn’t so feel chuffed.
