Hhhappynewyear Hic.

Yessssssssssssssssssssssss! 1.5 lbs off today so that is 3 of the 3.5 I gained at Christmas.
I had a cream doghnut at work. A colleague bought it for me as a new year gift!! By 5 pm I had had 12 points. I then went to mother-in-law and had sherry, wine and snacks followed by turkish delight. No idea how many points. I shall have a drink or two tonight and a Chinese meal with family tomorrow. Tomorrow is 2009 and I shall start as I mean to go on so shall note all points and try to be good.
I shall weigh in tomorrow and Friday.

6 Chocolates!! But 1.8 lbs Off.

There are two little mince pies sitting on a plate shouting 'eat me, eat me all up with some cream'. I have managed to ignore them but it has been hard. I am babysitting tonight so shall be out of danger. I lost 1.8 lbs today so that is probably all the retained fluid away. I have hogmanay and a party on Saturday to contend with so am happy about the promise to weigh every day.

Well Done 'Losing It'. xxx.

I put on 3 ½ pounds. I am pleased with this as I think I shall loose it quite quickly. It is so hard getting back into the’ Zone’. To help me get there I am going to weigh myself every day this week and report it. My friend Louise always says ‘if you keep within your points for two days you are there’.
Today has been a struggle.

Gawd! Hello Paul! Don't be too Critical!

Well I’m back and am afraid I haven’t fared well! 3 ½ days have been lost to an orgy of food and drink. I have been a bit more careful however and not eaten as much as I could have (or normally do at Christmastime) Today I feel crap. I could have a cold on the way. My fingers feel tight (drink) and I have no energy. I want to eat but am trying to get back into the zone. I have already had toast with butter and marmalade x 2!! 6 points? I’m going to take the dogs out for a nice long walk which should help. Now the question is…..should I weigh myself tomorrow or wait till next week? If I get on the scales tomorrow and find I have gained a stone I’ll be devastated and it might throw me right out of the zone. Oh I lost 1.8 lbs last Monday.
Am off now to see what shenanigans 'Losing It' has been up to!

2 1/2 Pounds off With Big Knickers and Socks!

I don’t think I shall be able to get back to daily blogging until after Christmas. I weighed myself this morning and found that I had lost 3lbs, I was thrilled to bits. However after crowing to ‘Losing It’ I walked the dogs and weighed myself again and weighed ½ a pound more! Ok so I had my knickers and socks on but they can’t weigh that much, can they? No not a thong….big knickers! I shall record 2 ½ lbs anyway. So far 22.8 lbs off-Ya Beauty!

Alone Again - Naturally!

I haven’t blogged since Monday as am busy. Peter has gone to Spain and it is very time consuming walking the dogs 4 times a day. I have 30 mins lunch so that is 8 to walk home 10 to let dogs out (not really enough poor things) 4 to eat banana and go to loo 8 to walk back. I hope to lose 2lbs this week….if not more.

I lost 1.8lbs today. Point 2 more and it would amount to one and a half stone! Wow! Fantastic! I feel so pleased. I also feel very thin so I don’t look in the mirror as I couldn’t cope with the disillusionment…. err! Is there such a word? If so why can’t I hit ‘Losing It’ with it in any word game?

Just had a fish and chip lunch washed down with 2 gin and tonics. Lovely! I was invited out just as I was about to tuck into my breakfast. I am pleased to say that I didn’t eat it and so saved enough points for said lunch. If I have a hot choc and marmite toast tonight I shall stay in range.
Last night I had some Snack-a-Jacks and light hot choc so my points were 18 ½ and not 15 ½ !

Bloody Lasagne!

I sent Peter out to buy pre cooked lasagne the other day and he came home with a lasagne ready meal! Not even low cal! Not only am I greedy I also hate waste so I ate it. Not particularly nice and left me not only still hungry but 12 ½ points lighter! I still coped though and didn’t lose the plot. I am so chuffed about this. Still in the zone hurrah!

Yesterday I went Christmas shopping and had lunch with Sarah and girls. So pleased with myself when I chose a tuna salad but then had a muffin! It was a skinny blueberry so 5 points. I had to have some wine when I got home to calm me down after spending so much!

I lost 3lbs this week! I can’t believe it! Mind you I didn’t have too much yesterday and I did go to the park with my granddaughter Lucy who made me run, jump, go down a slide (a bit frosty and I got icy pants but luckily did not get stuck! If I had laughed just a little bit more I might have!!) And pretended to climb trees. She is a free sprit and a pleasure to take out….umm and it helps me to exercise.

Been Busy!

Well I have been busy so haven’t blogged for a while. I hear a few of you think I might have slipped out of the zone …………….well I haven’t! Was tempted today by birthday cake. Yes! Still Shrinking.

Losing It thinks that headaches could be due to dehydration. I think (it almost chokes me to say) that she could be correct. For example today I have had I tea, 3 coffees, 1 cup-a-soup and a large glass of wine! Not nearly enough. So, loads more water from now on. I shall list the number of glasses I have each day so that I keep it up.
Ohh…………2LBS OFF! Yipee! If I keep this up I’ll reach my goal by August 2009!

No Challenges Today!

I don’t have much time for lunch at work so when I get home at 5.15ish I am starving. That is when I have some Snack-a-Jacks or sandwiches. After these I don’t really want dinner. In a perfect world I would have dinner at 5:30. Peter would have a hairy canary if I suggested such a thing. Any ideas anyone?
I know I haven’t had enough points today but have a blazing headache and am not hungry. Several people in the family have been ill. Lord I hope I don’t get anything…..how can I go sick after one week?
I have bought weight watcher’s bread. Didn’t realise it was only ½ a point. Brilliant. Has 'Losing It' kept this to herself I wonder? Naa, she's been helpful personified!

Sausage Rolls and Doughnuts!

My new job involves a lot of standing but not a lot of running about so I’m worried that I won’t lose 2lbs a week. I am knackered when I get home so then sit a lot! If it was lighter I would walk the dogs. Perhaps I’ll take them out for a massive walkies on Sunday. I tried to walk faster than normal to work today but it caused a hot flush so when I arrived my curls had dropped out and my make-up had slipped off!
I know I’m eating too much processed food just now but I hope to change that when I get into my stride. At least I’m resisting the lunch time call from the rest of the (skinny!) staff for Gregg’s sausage rolls and doughnuts.

Went on Holiday but Still OK!

My trip ‘down south’ went well and I stuck to my points but I did have a few drinks. I was able to say no after one or two though, which I haven’t been able to do before. So, I don’t think I’m a raving alcoholic after all.
I start a new job tomorrow so might comfort eat! I shall take lunch with me (better not have a pub lunch the first day).

Welcome Annie.xxx

Well the train went well. I had a 1st class ticket (cheap to over 55s) and they hand out free beverages, muffins and shortbread. I had a black coffee and a small banana! There and back, how good am I? In Aberdeen I had a chicken sandwich for lunch, I checked the points when I got home and they amounted to 5 ½ so pissed off. Consoled myself with a large glass of wine and some Chinese noodles.
Today is good. I did drink 2 glasses of wine with my lunch but stopped there. Amazing!
Daughter Annie thinks I am eating too much processed food and should substitute the snack-a-jacks for veg or fruit. But I love my Snack-a-Jacks.

One comment came flooding in. It said that I should blog every day to keep the momentum going. Seeing as I only had one comment, and that said keep going, I can say 100% of my commentators wish me to carry on!
I know I haven’t had enough points today but I am off to Aberdeen tomorrow and will be spending several hours on a train. As the buffet trolley rattles past me, the hot choc, maltesers and sometimes even a G&T jump onto my table. I can’t bear waste so it all then jumps straight down my throat!
I shall equip myself with tangerines, bananas and low cal hot choc. I wonder what they will charge me for a cup of hot water………….

Bloody Jeans


Well! This morning I though I would risk trying on a pair jeans that I hadn’t worn for a while as they were a little too snug. They slid, on and the zip slid, up and the top snap did up with ease. I was so excited that I skipped down to my porridge feeling well chuffed. I glanced (admiringly) in the big hall mirror as I passed and what did I see? A six inch blinking rip at the side of a back pocket……………I had burst them. Oh well, that’s life I suppose.
I’m wondering if this is all a bit much. Should I write this blog only on weigh day? Don’t all comment at once. Will you?

Pizza, pizza, pizza, pizza!

Last night I went to Sarah’s to watch a DVD and she had a pizza! I didn’t have any but thought about it all night and today. Whilst shopping for veg and low fat food I spotted the pizza section. After gawping, touching and smelling one I popped it into my trolley. Arrrgh!
When I got home I calmed down and checked out the points. Only 13…..f---! I counted my points so far and if I had no Snack-a-Jacks I could have it. God it was good.
Now the craving has gone and I’m looking forward to a nice healthy day tomorrow.

On and off, on and off...and without clothes!

Well, I leapt on the scales again this morning and have lost a bit more, however, I tried in different rooms, on and off carpets and it was different each time! I have now put the scales back in the original spot and shall wait until next Monday before I have another go. At one time I had gained 6lbs. mind you I wasn’t wearing my specs so couldn’t see the decimal point.
I sucked in my tummy and think I saw a little p---.! OK! Kids……yes I do have them just haven’t seen them for a while (shaping and trimming by touch only).
Now I’ve done it….the phone will be ringing off the hook with mortified off-spring!

Disappointing

Lost 2 ½ lbs this week. A bit disappointing as I thought the first 2 weeks were big losses. Still, I plan on 1 ½ to 2lbs per week from now on. Don’t forget I had booze at the weekend and didn’t walk the dogs as much. I’m going to weigh myself tomorrow….just in case. I feel great though, and am sure my cloths are looser.
I nearly got my bike out today, and then thought again, a bit too rash methinks! (I also couldn’t get the bloody tyres pumped up and so the moment passed)

Nearly, But Not Quite!

That is the weekend just about over and I am ok!!
Today was the hardest. The devil, (in the disguise of food and drink) tempted me several times and I felt myself slip but didn’t! Yeah!
First of all I had to chum a locksmith to a neighbour just as I was about to tuck into breakfast- x 2 marmite toast(no butter) I crammed half a slice in and rushed out. I came home at 12:30 and rushed about preparing the Sunday lunch…..I was hungry and had a pack of butterscotch Snack-a-Jacks……….then another one……….then went hunting for food but stopped myself just in time.

Eeek!

Last night went well-thank Goodness. We are having a Chinese take-away tonight. I shall have the noodles and keep me paws off the crackers!
Lunch was with the girls and Claire made the soup so the points are estimated.

Phew!

Delicious Dog Food!

Not too much happening today. I’m still in the zone though. Why? If only I could find out what makes one go for it I would be very rich. It was the same when I stopped smoking, donkey’s years ago. Once I made up my mind it was easy.
I think I’m getting into a rut food wise so need to jazz it up a bit in case I get bored. Also should drink more water.
Mmm! Just fed the dogs and it smelt delicious! Definitely need to jazz it up.

Out to Lunch.

Well I survived lunch with Betty! We went to John Lewis and I ordered some lovely mushroom pasta but the (nosey parker, ear wigging our conversation and hearing the word diet) waitress, piped up with ‘we do lovely tomato pasta which has no cream and therefore less calories’ Bloody cheek! I (reluctantly) had to have it then, which I suppose was a good thing.
I wore my new waspish waisted coat but sadly had to leave the waspish belt off…..looked like a sack of tatties tied in the middle. Never mind….soon I hope.
I did however wear my push up bra that my son- in –law hooted with laughter at when I wore it on Sunday…… (I recall the expression ‘nipples up your nose’ was used)… Stu, I’ve lengthened the straps!!

No breckie in anticipation of a slap up lunch.

I Know! It's all Water.

I’ve lost 7lbs! I can’t believe it. Wow!
I know at the start one loses a lot of water so I can’t lose that much every week. I am hoping for about 2lbs a week. I had a headache all last night and most of today. I was a bit panicky as I thought my alcohol tolerance was dropping! Perhaps it has taken a week for me to get a hangover!
I’m off to town tomorrow with Mother in law who wants to buy me lunch………………..bit of a challenge there. Just to keep me inspired I think I might wear my new waspish waisted coat.

7 Days and Still on Track. Hurrah!

I’m so thrilled to have made it through the weekend without blowing it. The family came to lunch and I did have some wine but stopped after 2 (large) glasses.

P.S. Am shocked by how little money I've spent! Off to M&S tomorrow then! Can't have money jingling around in my bag.

Yikes!

Lunch went well thank goodness. There was a dangerous packet of delicious chocolate and plain shortbread that I couldn’t keep my eyes off. I didn’t eat any but would you believe Claire’s gazelle like mother was scarfing them down. Honestly! There is no justice.

I am feeling the benefit of walking the dogs. Mind you, today I ventured off the path and into the woods only to find myself near what looked liked a badger set. Horrified I might disturb them I tiptoed away and slipped on the wet leaves. As I skidded down hill I grabbed a branch of a tree that was growing very close to another one…..a hair’s breath to the left and I would have been firmly wedged! Can you imagine the humiliation?

Great grub today. I loved the couscous.

Boring! Thank Goodness for the Snack-a-Jacks.





Just the dogs and me in the house all day so no challenges.
However! I’m off to lunch at my daughter-in-law’s (Claire) with my daughter (Sarah) and their four daughters tomorrow. If Claire has not had a Tesco delivery I shall be ok! (Last time she had a delivery she was on the phone asking me to babysit and had to put me on hold while she dealt with it. I was round there before she had time to hang up the phone!)

And We're Off.

Just jumped on scales and weigh ? stone and 12 pounds. I would like to lose 6 stone but 5 would be great!

Owing to an early dental appointment I skipped breakfast only to be told off by the dentist and forced to eat a high calorie energy pill!
Why couldn’t he just give me a chunk of chocolate?

Don’t know what diet to follow. I think I shall look out an old weight watchers book, due to being on an economy drive I shall not go to a class.

I have bought healthy food for a week.

When Peter is away I have to walk the dogs 3-4 times a day so there is another plus.

I’ll add food and drink intake tonight.

Fatty Boom Boom

Quite good news…
A) I have to have half a molar taken out and the other half root canal treated on Monday morning at 9 so will be a good start as won’t want food.
B) Husband (Peter) is off to Spain that night so won’t be tempted to drink.
Am feeling very positive today but must have chocolate before Monday.……………Why?

Fatty Boom Boom

I am so pissed off with my weight that I'm going 'public' on Monday.
I shall tell all who wish to hear exactly what I eat and drink every day. I'm not going to tell you my weight now but will let you know how much I lose.
Someone out there.....please stop me.


Thursday. What on earth am I doing? I went to bed last night and kept thinking of all the things I must eat and drink before Monday! It's not as if I will never have cake again.
I have yoyoed so much in my life. I seem to be able to dicipline myself enough to lose loads of weight but........well, it is all or nothing with me. I can't keep it off.
